The Institute of the Carmelite Sisters of St. Teresa (C.S.S.T) was founded in 1887 by Mother Teresa of St. Rose of Lima(a resident of Chennai) in the town of Ernakulam in Kerala. It was a time when the vast majority of people were living in squalor and misery and the poor were compelled to be on the streets to earn a living. A caste-ridden society was the order of the day.Mother Teresa, an educationist with a spiritual and social thrust and great zeal, was convinced that all human beings are children of God, with a right to live in dignity. With the first foundation, St. Teresa’s Covent Ernakulam, she started a school where all types of students, irrespective of their social and financial status, were admitted.

President’s Message

Dear Parents/Alumni/Staff

It is with mixed feelings that I will be saying farewell to the Holy Angels Family and moving to St. Joseph convent Faridabad Sect 5. It was with great hesitation that I came from Mumbai. Six years have passed and when I look back, these years were peaceful and everything went smoothly. It is because of your great support and co-operation of each one of you, Staff, parents, and alumni.

I want to extend a heartfelt word of gratitude to you and a word of praise to God. I can hardly find words to express how grateful and blessed I am for the experience as a principal for the last six years. Because it was a time of knowing …… growing ……..learning…… I have learnt a lot from you and my staff during my stay here. It’s really nice to learn a lot of new things which would have not been possible without your support. Not only professionally but friendly relation had given in more pleasure. Thank you very much for everything. If I had been a bit strict in matter of discipline, it was only because I have always believed that without discipline that there is no gain. I wish success for each one of my students. Please encourage your wards to work hard and do well in their studies. They are really privileged to be in this great institution. Help them to make the best use of the opportunities given to them here, so that when they move out, they would be able to hold their heads high and walk as proud Angelites!!!!

May every happiness be your reward. Fill every thought with determination, every step with courage and every word with love.

Thank You and God Bless !!!!

Sr.Pramela

Principal, Holy Angels’ Convent School, Muzaffarnagar

Dear sisters, teachers, Angelites our ex-students and my dear students. It is indeed my privilege and honour to welcome each one of you to this re-union day of angelite alumni association and it is with immense joy that I do so.

It was the biggest dream of Holy Angels’ convent School ie the formation of alumni- and that dream came true on September 18th Saturday. I am very glad to see the warm and enthusiastic response from the members of Alumni.

Alma  Mater is the term used by the students especially the ex-students where they refer to their school or college of learning. A look at the etymology of this term gives us a deeper understanding. Alma in Latin means bounteous and Mater means Mother. So Alma Mater is your bounteous mother and you are the Alumni of this mother. Just as a mother nurtures her siblings, this Alma Mater has shaped you in the initial years of your life. It has not only taught you 3 Rs (reading ,writing, arithmetic) but also played  a very important role in the holistic development of your personality and helped you to face the challenges of life as mature human beings. So this re-union is a joyous return to your mother and also perhaps a respite from the hectic schedule of life.

As you are gathered here, I am sure memories will be rushing to your mind- may be about the first day at the school when most of you entered the campus as tiny tots or the fun and frolic you had along with the studies or even some punishment you got.

As you have completed your studies from this institution and become responsible members of a larger society, it is worthwhile to make a soul searching as to whether we have been successful in translating into reality  the life-oriented and humanizing education which Holy Angels’ aims at. Let us not forget that in the ultimate analysis, we all are temporary custodians of the wealth and other resources we have, The best use of one’s wealth is to share it with the needy and the marginalized Mother Teresa used to say, and lived the principle “it is in giving that we receive”

It is my prayer and wish that may this association grow from strength to strength, rendering  positive contribution in the lives of its members, the school and the public of Mzn. As the saying goes . “coming together is a beginning keeping together is progress and working together is success”. I believe that we have all, at sometime eaten the fruit from trees that we did not plant. In the fullness of time , when it is our turn to give, we must plant gardens that we may never eat the fruit of, which benefit the generations to come. I believe this is our responsibility. Progress of the responsibility is based on a dream. To fulfill the dream we need to have determination, perseverance and generous heart.Yes, in keeping with the spirit and motto of the school Anthem let us walk along life’s highways with a song on the lips and smile in our hearts.

I also invoke God’s blessings on each one of us that He may bestow on us the true spirit to dedicate ourselves in loving service. Wish you all a very happy Re-union day of alumni.Thank you and God Bless.
