The Institute of the Carmelite Sisters of St. Teresa (C.S.S.T) was founded in 1887 by Mother Teresa of St. Rose of Lima(a resident of Chennai) in the town of Ernakulam in Kerala. It was a time when the vast majority of people were living in squalor and misery and the poor were compelled to be on the streets to earn a living. A caste-ridden society was the order of the day.Mother Teresa, an educationist with a spiritual and social thrust and great zeal, was convinced that all human beings are children of God, with a right to live in dignity. With the first foundation, St. Teresa’s Covent Ernakulam, she started a school where all types of students, irrespective of their social and financial status, were admitted.

Respected , Sr. Jaymerry , Sr. Pramela , Sr. Alfreida , Sr. Vineeta and our beloved teachers and all Angelites.
Warm Greetings on a cold evening . Well, here we are once again, together on the 3rd Angelite Re-union day . This year as we all know is the “Golden Jubilee Year” , 50 Golden years of our Alma-mater. Honestly speaking, it has still not dawned on me or may be I have grown old , It looks like just yesterday , we were playing on this very ground , running , jumping and what not , peeping out from the windows of the class room making paper aero planes , throwing erasers at each other and of course the advantage of a co-ed running after girls and now gender discrimination we (boys) have been reduced to a minority .

The other day only an esteemed member of our organizing committee Dr. Sonal Gupta was saying that she cannot even think of our son (who is presently study in class…….) to study in any other school after class 10th other than HACS because its a total shift in the culture and atmosphere.

As we all know this year we were celebrating this Golden Jubilee Re-Union earlier i.e; in November but because of unpleasant communal situation we cancelled the program and we had slated the same for next year , but the excitement and fervor of Angelites was such that we members of the organizing committee met again under the chairpersons ship of the President of Angelite Alumni Society Sr. Pramela and decided to hold it to – day in spite of inclement weather.

It was indeed a daunting task but the entire organizing team members worked day and night to make it successful at such a short notice . All the members namely Mr. Amit Arora , Dr. Renu Goel , Mr./ Gaurav Swarup , Dr. Manish Aggarwal , Dr. Sonal Gupta , Dr. Sachin Sangal , Dr. Jaspreet Khurana, Miss. Himani Singhal , Mr. Parag Goel , Mr. Ankit Garg , Mr. Ankit Sangal , Mr. Ankur Bindal , Mr. Gajesh Girdhar , Mr. Gaurav Goel , Mr. Mayank Bindal , Miss Namra Nasir , Mr. Neeraj Sahni , Mr. Nitin Puri , Mr. Sandeep Jain . Miss Haya Zaidi , Mr. Uday Singhal , Mr. Vaibhav Goel need a round of applause.

As per the bye laws of the Angelite Alumni Society , we do not use even a rupee from the membership Amount which we have deposited in Indian Overseas Bank and an FDR has been made. Fellow Angelites , will be pleased to know that we have over 4.5 lacs rupees in from of membership amount which we will use for improving the infrastructure of school whenever required and for betterment of students . We do not use any amount from this a/c for holding Re-Union programs . The entire Re-union program is funded by the organizing committee members who contribute and share the expenses.

Many of us are proud parents now whose children are studying in Holy Angels and we look forward to your valuable suggestions in any sphere which need to be addressed.

We are indeed obliged to Sr. Pramela who has started to give weight age to children of Alumni members during admission process .

Although we found that many Alumni members are coming and approaching Sister only at the time of admissions . We would advise and expect our Alumni members to be in touch with our Alma- mater , regularly, the day they leave school. It will definitely give you a feeling that you have never ever left school. As we , have seen today , it is indeed nostalgic to meet our old teachers and their blessing indeed go a long way .

We all have planted this sapling of Angelties Alumni and we would all love to see it nuture and grow with leaps and bounds . We would request fellow Angelite to come forward and keep the torch burning by organizing such Re-unions every year when we can re-live our memories . This year would be the last year , I would be actively involved in organizing the Re-Union due to my other commitments but I would love to attend the same and to be of any help whenever required.

In the end I feel proud and honored to be an Angelite . I am thankful once again Sr.Corrine , Sr. Jaymerry , Sr. Alfreada member of the comminity and especially Sr. Pramela who always welcomes us with a smile and never says NO to any of suggestions and ideas . In the end I am also at a loss words to express my gratitude to fellow organizing committee members who are always ready at the blink of an eye for the Re-Union cause.

Thank you all once again and Gold Bless ! ! !

Respected Chairman Mr. Alok Swarup, Sr Shreen, Sr Pramela, Members of the Board, fellow Alumni members, staff members and last but not the least, future Alumni members i.e. the young students of the school.
I am deeply  honored to be elected the founder Vice-President of the “Angelite Alumni Society”.
Since the time I walked up to the stage and sat down on the dias I was wondering how effectively I could describe Holy Angels’ Alumni Society. Every one present here knows the dictionary ,meaning of “Alumni” but how many of us can feel the ‘Alumni’ within ourselves. We must have crossed this road ‘n’ number of times but once you entered the gate of the School then there was a different feeling altogether. When I walked on the playground and the corridors of the school it gave me a nostalgic feel. I am sure this feel was felt by everyone present here. Am I correct? Did you get this a wonderful feeling when you were walking up to the Auditorium.
This is what the Alumni is all about. It is the feel. You can feel the school, you can feel the Alumni.
We are grateful to Sister Basil erstwhile Principal of Holy Angels’ Convent School, in whose tenure the dream of an Alumni was formed and we started in a small way in getting the fraternity together by contacting old students and thereby becoming members of the Alumni. We are even more grateful to Sister Pramela who has actually made this dream become a reality and it is because of her that we all are sitting here today. I would like to specially mention the names of Mrs Deepa Singh, Mr. Rajender Singhal and Miss Ranjana Singh who have worked day and night for months together helping form this Alumni.
We are what we are because of this great Institution. You must all be well aware that students who have passed out from here have spread out successfully in all walks of life. Our Alumni can boast of having leading doctors not only in this city but also in Appolo  Max and others. Our students have become Senior officers In Judiciary and Administration. Many of them are leading Industrialists and entrepreneurs. Our Alumni is proud and privileged in stating that many of our old students who used to sit in the student benches in yesteryears are today teaching in this very school. Mr Amit Arora who is our honorary Secretary of this board, is also a distinguished teacher in this very  school.

Now is the time for all of us to pay back to our ‘Alma Mater’ in whatever possible ways we can since this is where we belong. These are our very roots. We are successful because of the foundation this very School has given us. I remember the times when we inscribed our names mischievousloy with our compass on the benches, when no one was watching us. Those were the carefree days we spent here.
Now we all have to come forward and make this Institution on stronger and bigger. This is undoubtedly the best education institution in this district, now we have to make it the best in the state of U. P. and one of the best in the country.
I was speaking to Sr Pramela the other day and we propose  to launch the web-site of the School & this will help in making the alumni reach out to all old students more effectively. Further, we as members have to raise funds to our best of abilities so that all funds so collected will be used for the betterment of this Institution and our young students in the coming years.
I request all present here to send old photograph and school magazines to the Alumni office so that we can start working on them since you must be well aware that the school will be celebrating the Golden Jubilee i.e. 50 years in 2013. We all have to make it a grand success.
In the end I am again over-whelmed in being elected the founder Vice President of the Alumni.
God Bless !!!
Anil Swarup

Dear Angelites,
I along with all the members of the board of ‘Angelite Alumni Society’ welcome you to the first Reunion Day of old students of Holy Angels’ Convent School.
All old students wanted a platform for being in touch with their Alma-mater. It was this driving force which inspired us to form the ‘Angelite Alumni Scoiety’.
We are grateful to Sr. Basil Former Principle of Holy Angles’ Convent School in whose tenure this dream was formed and we are even more grateful to Sr. Pramela, Principal of  Holy Angels’ Convent School who made this dream into a reality. Sr. Pramela is also the President of Board. Further the Principal of Holy Angels’ Convent School will always remain Ex-officio President of the Board.
The board was formed on 18th sep-2010 at a function held in Grace De Lima Memorial Hall i.e. the new auditorium of the School which I am sure you all must have seen in the afternoon today. It is one of the best auditorium any School has in nearby area.
Within a short span of 2 months we already have 300 members and have been able to organize the first Re-union day so soon. This is the spirit of ‘Angelites’.The board deeply appreciates the efforts of Mr. Rajender Singhal, Miss Deepa Singh and Mrs. Ranjana Singh who have worked tirelessly is helping form this Society and today’s Re-union day celeberations.
You all must be aware that our school will be celebrating its golden jubilee i.e. 50 years in 2013. We all have to make it a grand success & memorable event we request all of you to send old photograph school magazines etc. so that we can start compiling the same.
It is a pleasure to have amongst us Mr. Farukh, Wasim and Mrs Sarita Gupta who are from the first batch of the school i.e. 1963. We also welcome the batch of 1985 i.e. that is the silver jubilee batch.
It is always said that the Alumni is the mirror of any Institution in the Society, we all owe ourselves to this very institution. It is because of the strong foundation which this very school gave us that our members can boast of being the best doctors of the country, being the best engineers, industrialist, scientist, academicians, journalists, officials both in judiciary and administration. Our members are also in all the three armed forces of the Country and serving the Mother land.
We would eventually also open Alumni chapters, region wise, for example like ‘Delhi chapter; so that members can meet more regularly & more conveniently.
Since we all are successfully in life. It is time for us to pay back to our Alma mater. I request all of you to generously come forward and contribute funds so that they can be deputed for the betterment of student facilities at large. If the funds do not pour in regularly the Society will not be able to achieve the aim for which it has been formed. In the again I thank all of you and look forward to an exciting evening
God Bless!!
Anil Swarup
